Autism Speaks is proud to be a part of the 2010 WALT DISNEY WORLD® Marathon Weekend presented by CIGNA from January 8-10, 2010. We have been awarded entries for the Full and Half. Make it a tradition. Get together with friends, family and fellow runners for an entire weekend celebration that you’ll never forget. Whether it’s your first marathon or your fiftieth, this is a weekend with something for everyone. WALT DISNEY WORLD® Marathon Weekend presented by CIGNA Features: Marathon: Participants will experience the most magical 26.2 miles in the world with a race course that winds through all four WALT DISNEY WORLD® Theme Parks. Half Marathon: Participants will experience 13.1 miles of on-course Disney music and entertainment visiting two WALT DISNEY WORLD® Theme Parks along the way. Goofy Challenge: If you register for Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge you will run the half marathon on Saturday, January 9th and the full on Sunday, January 10th. You will earn a special Goofy medal to commemorate your achievement in addition to your other 2 finisher medals.
At this time we are sold out. All require a minimum fundraising of $1500 to be apart of Team Autism Speaks. This fundraising is separate from the required 3 night stay at either Disney’s All Star Music, Movies or Sports Resorts. We have locked in a low rate for you. All you need to do is book your room. Upon confirmed registration you will have to reserve your rooms and/or theme park tickets. To receive a guaranteed entry into this year's marathon, Autism Speaks invites you to join a very special group of people who will band together to make a difference. As a part of this commitment, you will be asked to raise funds to support Autism Speaks and its mission to raise awareness and funds for autism research and programs. Currently we still have a limited number of spots on Team Autism Speaks. Please fill out the attached form and email it to disneymarathon@autismspeaks.org in order to reserve your spot on the team.
