Walk Raises Funds for Autism

Autism Speaks U is a program intended for college students to support their local autism communities and raise awareness and funding for Autism Speaks. Autism Speaks is the nation's largest advocacy organization for autism. The organization is devoted to funding research for the causes, prevention, treatments and cure for autism. "Walk Now for Autism Speaks," organized by the Autism Speaks U Club at Saint Mary's College, raised awareness for autism and promoted the new club Sunday.

Both organizations have planned events to not only raise money, but also awareness of the illness that affects one out of every 110 children.
