Light-Bue Cothing to Ceate Autism Awareness, Welcome Lecturer

On March 31, to kick off Autism Awareness Month and welcome lecturer Dr. Temple Grandin , a speaker of national notoriety on autism and animal science, the College of Education’s Center for Disability Research and Service invites Auburn’s faculty, staff and students to wear light-blue clothing as part of Autism Speaks’ “Light It Up Blue” national awareness effort.

CSUN Fraternities Raise Money for Autism Speaks at Hot Dog Eating Contest

CSUN’s Interfraternal Council (IFC) held a hot dog eating contest Tuesday to benefit Autism Speaks, the nation’s largest group for autism research. Through chapter participation and on-site donations, IFC raised the largest campus donation this year for Autism Speaks.

Northwestern Goes Blue for Autism Awareness Month

On Friday night, Northwestern lit the fronts of Norris, Deering and Leverone blue as part of Autism Speaks’ “Light It Up Blue” event, the organization’s kick-off for Autism Awareness Month. The event was global, with the Empire State Building and Sydney Opera House displaying blue lights.

Saint Mary’s Students to Host Autism Speaks U Walk

The Saint Mary’s College chapter of Autism Speaks U will host its first “Walk Now for Autism Speaks” on campus on Sunday, April 17. The three-mile walk is open to the public and families affected by autism are encouraged to attend.

USU Launches Autism Event, “Miles of Quarters”

University Student Union launched “Miles of Quarters,” its fund-raising drive for autism at Plaza del Sol on Thursday. The fundraiser will run until April 20. It aims to raise $17,000 for Autism Speaks, a national organization that supports autism research.

Hockey Team’s Fundraiser an Overwhelming Success

The Colgate women's hockey team was successful with its Autism Awareness Project held at Starr Rink. As of Feb. 1, the team had raised $12,000 towards autism research from the Player Puzzle Fundraiser and donations received.
